History RiMUN

The Radboud International Model United Nations (RiMUN) conference, organized by United Netherlands, is traditionally held every year in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The first RiMUN was held in 2004, and set the ambitious tone for the following conferences.

RiMUN distinguishes itself by its exceptional quality in content and committee topics, offering delegates real diplomatic challenges involving negotiation, debate and networking. The success of this conference can be guaranteed by United Netherlands due to its ample expertise, acquired from years of experience in organizing outstanding MUN conferences.

With RiMUN 2008 having 250 participants from 30 different countries, RiMUN aquired international status. In 2009, United Netherlands provided the ultimate proof of its capabilities by organizing the very successful WorldMUN conference in The Hague, which drew more than 2500 participants from all over the world.

What makes RiMUN unique is the focus on a high academic level. By organizing a Symposium during the conference, delegates will get the chance to dig even deeper in that year's theme. Every year a special theme is chosen.
