A Word of Welcome
Dear delegates,
I would like to thank all of you for making RiMUN 2011 such a big succes.
Based around the theme shifting balances, students from over 25 different universities and coming from over 12 different countries, discussed the issues around shifting global power relations, and the changing standards towards warfare, human rights violations and the environment. A weekend long students were transformed in global leaders and solved the issues of rising tensions at the Korean Peninsula, the global consumption of oil, nationalist terrorism, child trafficking and the completion of the European Union. Next to the hard work during the day, there was plenty of time to discover the other side of diplomacy in the evenings.
The Radboud University, situated in the oldest city of The Netherlands, constitutes a great environment for participants to experience the working and the decision-making process of the United Nations. RiMUN has always been awarded for the high quality in content and committee topics. This year, we were able to maintain that reputation by including an interesting symposium on micro credits.
Please check our website regularly to keep up to date of all the information about RiMUN 2012! If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Fian van Vlokhoven
Director General
